Advokát - O dravcích v právní džungli – Láska Václav (2008)

The book tells the story of former police officer Tomáš Krása, who leaves the police after a conflict with his superiors and becomes a lawyer. He discovers not only the fraudulent practices of some lawyers but also uncovers extensive corruption within the police ranks, which he had never acknowledged as a police officer. He realizes that although his livelihood is as a lawyer, his mindset remains that of a policeman. This brings him into conflict with other lawyers. When he accepts an offer from a former colleague to expose and convict a renowned lawyer who is actually committing extensive fraud using his clients as 'straw men', Krása's legal career begins to suffer serious cracks. Especially when the lawyer in question teams up with a corrupt police officer who facilitated Krása's departure from the police. This starts to put the protagonist's life in danger. The author is a lawyer and a former police officer. Although he emphasizes that the book is by no means an autobiography, the descriptions of bribery, fraud, and blackmail occurring among police officers and lawyers are so realistic that they send chills down the spine.
