Description
This Czech-language mathematics textbook forms part of a comprehensive series of textbooks and workbooks prepared in accordance with the Framework Educational Programme for special primary schools. The series is intended for pupils with special educational needs, specifically those with moderate to severe intellectual disabilities. Individual textbooks can be used in any year of the first stage of a special primary school, in accordance with the relevant school and individual educational programmes, and the textbooks and workbooks can also be used at other types of special schools. Mathematics I contains chapters on sorting objects; orientation in concepts such as everything–nothing, everyone–no one, big–small, short–long and equal–more–less; the number and numeral 1; the number and numeral 2; the number and numeral 3; the number and numeral 4; the number and numeral 5, including addition, subtraction and decomposition; recognising geometric shapes; and numeration up to 10. The textbook is richly illustrated with Eva Mastníková’s colour illustrations. It bears valid approval from the Czech Ministry of Education for inclusion in the list of textbooks for primary education as part of the comprehensive series for the special primary school programme, first volume, in the Mathematics and Its Applications educational area, with approval valid for six years.
