Description
This Czech biology textbook is part of a complete series of natural science textbooks for pupils with hearing impairments, covering the curriculum prescribed by the Czech Framework Educational Programme. The individual books can be used according to current needs, including in later school years or when topics are revisited or moved. The Human Biology textbook contains chapters on the origin and evolution of humans, human races, tissues, human organ systems, genetics and first aid. The text is accompanied by informative photographs and illustrations drawn by academic painter Andrea Korbelářová. An appendix of specialist terms in sign language is included, with illustrations of the signs by Jan Žampach. The textbook has approval from the Czech Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports for inclusion in the list of textbooks for primary education of pupils with hearing impairments, as part of the complete series for the Primary School educational programme in the educational area People and Nature.
