Description
The comprehensive series of textbooks for teaching natural science to students with hearing impairments consists of the following titles: Natural Science - Botany, Natural Science - Zoology I, Natural Science - Zoology II, Natural Science - Human Biology, and Natural Science - Earth, Our Planet. They cover all the curriculum prescribed by the RVP and allow for working with individual titles according to current needs. Specifically, teachers will be able to use the textbooks not only in the grades for which they are primarily intended but also later; they can revisit them, move the curriculum around, etc. The third textbook in the subject series follows Zoology I. It completes the zoology curriculum, which includes annelids, arthropods (arachnids, crustaceans, insects), and vertebrates (fish, amphibians, reptiles, birds, mammals). It concludes with a chapter on the distribution and evolution of animals on Earth. The textbook contains numerous illustrative drawings by Andrea Korbelářová and photographs, as well as an appendix - a glossary of selected technical terms in sign language. The images of the signs were drawn by Jan Žampach.
