Description
A comprehensive series of textbooks for teaching natural science to students with hearing impairments consists of the following titles: Natural Science – Botany, Natural Science – Zoology I, Natural Science – Zoology II, Natural Science – Human Biology, and Natural Science – Earth, Our Planet. They cover all the subject matter prescribed by the RVP and allow for working with individual titles according to current needs. Specifically, teachers will be able to use the textbooks not only in the grades for which they are primarily intended but also later; they can revisit them, move the material around, etc. The Botany textbook presents the topics of general biology and the basics of botany in a clear and informative manner: unicellular and multicellular organisms, lower plants, higher plants, fungi, and lichens, seed plants. The textbook is richly illustrated and contains a large number of photographs, as visual representation is a key prerequisite for successfully mastering challenging scientific material. The illustrative images were drawn by Kristina Málková.
