Description
The story of a mysterious death and investigation takes place in a virtual environment of our country four decades after the German army conquered Paris and when the truce, concluded in the West shortly thereafter, turned into a lasting peace. In our story, World War II ends before it could even begin. The gradual Germanization of Europe leads to its unification under the auspices of the Third Reich. Our world develops under different rules than those we know from reality: In Bohemia, the Slavic population is largely Germanized, while the rest survives in closed self-governing communities called Slavic freedoms. On the grounds of the University, the corpse of a young man, a gifted student, is found. Even Major Bert Dejmek agrees with the accepted version that it is an accident. Gradually, under the pressure of new facts, there is a conviction that the truth about the event lies elsewhere. However, in a society where ideology represents more than the strength of facts, the path to the truth is dangerous.
