Description
The book is a joint work of painter, graphic artist, and illustrator Květa Monhartová and poet and lyricist Jaromír Komorous. The collection Metaphorically Speaking was developed over a long period based on a correspondence exchange of paintings and poetic texts between the two authors. However, the roots of this project go deep into the past and stem from personal friendship and meetings at exhibitions. In addition to their generational affiliation, both protagonists share similar philosophical views and a fateful affinity marked by life's twists and losses of loved ones, as well as a desire to overcome all adverse life situations through artistic creation.
