Description
Jake Cantrell, an army veteran, and his friend Ladybug, a crossbreed of dog and wolf whom he rescued during his service in Afghanistan and his only remaining friend, are trying to put their bitter past behind them. He finds a job at the lowest rung of the security ladder at a small university campus in upstate New York. However, the situation takes a turn for the worse when one of the richest and most powerful alumni is found hanged from the railing of a bridge near the campus on the eve of the alumni reunion. Jake is convinced that the man was murdered, but no one believes the word of a discharged soldier—until a second body is found hanging in the same spot. Jake cannot suppress his military training and selflessly embarks on a quest to find the killer. But as a hurricane shakes the small town, the clock is ticking, and it's only a matter of time before the murderer strikes again.
