Description
This novel deals with the clash of two empires, two armies, and two gods of war. Five hundred adventurers recklessly charge against the cruelest of the indigenous armies of the ancient American continents, composed of hundreds of thousands of soldiers. In this war, gods and men fight against each other. Dark forces manipulating the history of mankind will demonstrate their power at the moment when Cortés's arrival fulfills the prophecy of the coming of the god Quetzalcoatl. The Aztec ruler Montezuma desperately tries to appease the god of war who craves human sacrifices. And the mission of the Spanish Inquisition is even greater bloodshed. Thrust into the whirlwind of these events and the clash between two gods of war are Tozi, Pepillo, and the beautiful Malinal, a slave and courtesan who hates Montezuma so deeply that she is willing to betray her country and her people for the sake of his destruction.
