Description
The textbook is part of a series of mathematics textbooks developed according to the RVP. It focuses on reviewing the mathematics curriculum from the first stage of primary school, excluding decimal numbers and fractions, which are not covered in the RVP at this level. The explanation of decimal numbers is included in the second part of the textbook for the 6th grade. The exercises have been updated (currency for shopping, price levels). A number of tasks are included that demonstrate the importance of mathematical knowledge for life and encourage students to complete various tasks and seek information. Non-standard application tasks and problems are emphasized (e.g., developing geometric imagination, combinatorial tasks). Many tasks lead to reflections on issues related to the environment (e.g., energy-saving bulbs, smoking). The textbook is colorful, featuring photographs of real objects and situations, as well as humorous and motivating colorful illustrations.
