The main goal of this book is to facilitate students' understanding of mathematical functions during their high school studies and to prepare them in this area for the final exams as well as for entrance exams to universities, as this topic is one of the key areas in high school mathematics and is allocated a significant portion of the class hours. The work is also intended for educators to ease their demanding tasks. It consists of two parts – a collection of solved examples and a program for displaying functions. The first part is a collection of solved examples divided into individual chapters. Its main content includes equations and inequalities, differential and integral calculus. The exemplary solved problems with complete solutions are meant to show students how to solve problems both formally and substantively. The substantive content includes typical and other examples arranged by difficulty and the complexity of mathematical operations and logical reasoning. The examples also practice operations with real numbers, absolute value, expression simplifications, working with parameters, the basics of analytical geometry in the plane, concepts from plane geometry such as tangent and secant, areas of plane figures, and from solid geometry, the volume of bodies.
