Description
This Czech-language book is intended primarily for pupils in the fourth and fifth grades of primary school, as well as their siblings, parents and teachers. It draws on problems from the FILIP mathematical correspondence seminar in Liberec and MATÝSEK in Litomyšl. Its aim is to free mathematics from its familiar image as a boring, abstract subject meant only for a select few. A selection of unusual problems incorporated into fairy-tale stories proves to be an effective way of achieving this.
