Černý kámen – Howard Robert Ervin (2016)

Robert E. Howard is known not only as the author of heroic fantasy, Conan and other fearless heroes, but also as one of the leading representatives of pulp adventure horror with a strong Lovecraftian influence. This third volume in the Classic Works of Horror series presents key texts that helped shape the Cthulhu Mythos, alongside several other dark stories featuring Howard’s favourite occult investigators and adventures designed to chill the blood. Who are the Dwellers under the Tomb? What lies beneath the fifteenth level of mysterious passages in a remote hill? In what voice does the ancient god Enlil speak in a lost African valley? Where did the ghostly Children of the Night come from, and what are they? What blasphemy is worshipped beside the bizarre Black Stone in the mountains of Hungary? What is Dermod’s Bane on the wild Irish coast? The collection includes Dwellers under the Tomb, The Voice of El-Lil, The Children of the Night, The Black Stone, The Thing on the Roof, The Haunter of the Ring, Dermod’s Bane, Dig Me No Grave, The Fire of Asshurbanipal and The Cobra in the Dream, as well as The Hoofed Thing.
