Description
The story begins like a Hitchcock film, not with an earthquake but with the destruction of the entire Earth, and the tension only continues to rise. Its cast includes space nomads who steal five tons of books, covers included, in other words the entire National Library building; accidental tourists thrown out of their own time into the depths of a medieval slum, where they must survive, find the Deer’s Eye and, above all, discover what it actually is; and sixteenth-century Hanseatic merchants with the souls of warriors and explorers. This Czech-language science-fiction novel delivers survival on land and at sea, a flood of action and a journey through time and space. Journey to Nidaros is the opening volume of the six-part Eye of the Deer saga by the popular Polish writer Andrzej Pilipiuk, best known for the humorous adventures of the perpetually drunken amateur exorcist Jakub Wandrovec.
