Description
Tomáš Fritta Haas (January 22, 1941 – March 6, 2015) was liberated as a four-year-old child in the Small Fortress in Terezín – the youngest political prisoner. He returned to Prague as an orphan. Even after the war, he became a victim of the regime and circumstances. Although he was the sole heir, he received no property from his ancestors that could have ensured him a better life path. He found himself with people who surely had the best intentions, but could not cope with a difficult-to-raise boy. The fact that he only completed elementary school, his constant provocations towards adults in childhood, towards superiors in youth, and sometimes exaggerated, perhaps somewhat feigned cheerfulness that he drew attention to himself with, all stemmed from deep, ancient scars on his soul. Nevertheless, he lived a rich life; he loved people and people loved him. The biography of the son of the famous artist Bedřich Fritta is accompanied by a number of colorful illustrations and photographs.
