The current years bring round anniversaries, significant for Czech, but also partly for other European, indeed world evangelical communities, one after another. In connection with them, historical studies have also emerged, collected in this book. Following one another in content, they create an arc from the time when the reformer Martin Luther acknowledged the legacy of Jan Hus to the present, in which the heritage of the Reformation has remained alive despite all the upheavals and dangers. A considerable space is dedicated, alongside the own Reformation epoch, to the connection of the congregations of the Augsburg and Helvetic Confessions at the end of World War I and the development of the Czech Brethren Evangelical Church in the past century.
