Description
The ecumenical dogmatics titled 'Creed' was written in German and translated into several European and Asian languages. It has received considerable attention in the broad ecumenical community. In the author's native language, it is being published for the second time (the first in 1996) and this time also completes the Czech edition of his 'small dogmatic trilogy,' commentaries on classical biblical and Christian texts - the Ten Commandments and the Our Father (the second in 2012). It is based on the Apostolic Confession of Faith, which has oriented Christian piety and thought for centuries, and uncovers its biblical background and guiding meaning in confrontation with questions of faith and life today. At a time when knowledge of what Christianity is about has significantly weakened in our country, this commentary will serve not only Christians but anyone who wants to gain a deeper understanding of the spiritual roots of European scholarship.
