Description
The fifth installment of the beloved History a Little Differently series will take us to a time when the Czech lands were the center of Europe and Prague acquired most of the monuments that tourists from all over the world admire to this day. Mr. Tempora this time tells about the Luxembourg dynasty, which ascended to the Czech throne in 1310. The most significant ruler of the 14th century was undoubtedly Charles IV, the father of the homeland. Together we will go back to Charles's childhood when John of Luxembourg ruled, we will look at the Battle of Crécy and the French court where young Charles grew up. Upon returning to Bohemia, we will focus on the golden age of Charles IV's reign, the construction of Prague and Prague Castle, we will learn about the work of the construction guild, visit the unique atmosphere of a medieval market, and get acquainted with new castles and the life of the countryside at that time. The text is again complemented by successful, cheerful illustrations, and at the end, we have prepared an overview of events and a cheerful quiz. Nothing prevents us from embarking together into the 14th century and discovering its joys and sorrows...
