Description
Augsburg, 1930. Marie and Paul Melzer are happy: their love has overcome serious obstacles and is stronger than ever, as shown by the birth of their third child, Kurti. But the whole world is caught in an economic crisis, and the problems reach the factory owner’s villa. Paul does everything he can to save the family business and its property, but it costs him his health. With the livelihood of a large family at stake, Marie does all she can to take her husband’s place. The factory and villa are burdened with debt, while the banks demand immediate repayment of their loans. The times are harsh, and the Melzers face important decisions. They can save their beloved home only if everyone pulls together.
