Description
Krauz's ability, perhaps even talent, to get entangled in cases colored by political power machinations was well known and characteristic of him. Fortunately, not all murders investigated by the homicide department were of this nature. Much more often, their cases had an ordinary, normal criminal undertone, and this was also true in this case. At the beginning of the frenzied nineties, the most notorious serial killer Ondrej enters the scene, leaving bloody traces in three countries. No one believes Krauz that he will continue, that they are at the beginning of a series of brutal rapes and murders. He fights in vain with the authorities to focus only on the sock killer - they do not believe him, they fear panic. Against Krauz's logic stands the killer's clever tactic - between attacks, he takes inexplicably long breaks, the significance of which, perhaps a clue, the detectives cannot decipher. It was during one of these breaks that a bizarre murder occurred, testing their patience, perception, and deduction. Krauz has no idea whether the sock killer has unpredictably reactivated or if a new one has emerged from his shadow. Are they still fighting Ondrej, or is someone else getting in their way?
