Véronique Vincent is a star. At twenty-two, she is one of the most sought-after models in the fashion world, appearing on magazine covers and walking runways around the globe. Although she is a consummate professional, she has no desire for the glamorous life that modelling offers. The beloved daughter of a single mother, she would rather spend time at home or with her boyfriend than attend lavish parties. After Paris Fashion Week, she is delighted when she gets the chance to take a short break before travelling to Tokyo for a Vogue cover shoot, eager to escape the frantic fashion world for a while. But a tragic explosion at Brussels Airport changes her life forever. The brutal terrorist attack shocks the world.
