Eliška's story is filled with love and the conviction that one must believe in oneself and in their dreams. It is also about the realization that pain never completely disappears; it only changes. I believe that Eliška's story will grow dear to your heart, and I hope you find some answers within it as well. I must confess: Eliška is my beloved. I think you will love her too. As soon as I finished writing the book, I began to miss her. My mother and her life inspired me to write this book, but it is not a biography at all. Although my mother also ate oranges for the first time only when she was seven years old.
