Description
Not all crimes are the same, and those committed by Arsène Lupin are full of unexpected twists, humorous moments, and admirable thieving skills that allow him to escape justice. Will the elusive thief manage to triumph over the famous English detective? Both rivals are determined to give nothing to the other. After all, their good reputations are at stake. The character of Arsène Lupin first appeared in 1906, and his incredible adventures are captured in seventeen novels, thirty-nine short stories, five plays, and nearly twenty film adaptations and stage productions. Inspired by Arsène Lupin, Netflix produced the successful series Lupin in 2021, starring Omar Sy. The Slovak edition is a translation of a selection by the author's granddaughter, published under the title LES AVENTURES EXTRAORDINAIRES D'ARSENE LUPIN (The Extraordinary Adventures of Arsène Lupin) in 2011 by Jean-Claude Gawsewitch Éditeur in Paris, containing sixteen of the original twenty short stories. Translated by Štefan Povchanič. Illustrated by Ján Kurinec.
