Marek Wolf finds himself at the crime scene before the police arrive: the murder victim is his mother, the murder weapon is a service pistol, and the main suspect is his brother Patrik. Patrik has escaped from a correctional facility, but despite the evidence, Wolf believes in his innocence. He searches for his brother and completely forgets about the investigation he failed to close. Until he begins to suspect that the case of the Worm is connected to his mother's murder. Karol Lupták, still off duty, is searching for his daughter’s missing friend. The clues lead him to a luxury hotel in Vienna, from which Laura mysteriously disappeared. A security camera captured her staggering through the hallways, but she vanished from the footage near the freezer room and did not appear in any further recordings. Lupták is convinced that Laura's disappearance is linked to a famous American singer who was hosting a private party at the hotel that night. The lure follows Kozmon's previous book, Worm. Has Wolf succumbed to self-deception, or has he stumbled upon something much larger?
