Uplakaná jeseň (slovensky) – Neuer Václav (2021)

Lengthening shadows and golden leaves herald autumn. This season brings showers and rain. Some love this time of year, while others dislike it for its melancholy. In the group around Chief Inspector Ledecký, most are pragmatic. However, two murders reported within a few hours could shake them up considerably. In an old military bunker by the Morava River, they discover the corpse of a beaten young man. In a park, almost in the city center, they find the body of a dead schoolgirl. One murder is raw and brutally botched, while the other is cold-blooded and, at first glance, worryingly professionally executed. Korejs thus 'receives' his first independent case. Ledecký and the rest of the team rush off on a hot trail. The violent death of a child outrages the entire city and plunges it into fear. The murderers want only one thing – to find the killers. However, at least one of them has not yet finished their work. Days pass, and in a hospital elevator in Kramáre, they find another body. Traveling by bus proves to be deadly as well. Apart from the method of killing the victim, nothing connects them. As if that weren't enough, the tired detectives receive an unwanted reinforcement. During the hunt for the human beast, they must also deal with the tension within the group. Despite all the dead ends, in the end...
