This Czech-language textbook is intended for students at secondary vocational schools studying accounting. It introduces the basics of tax records and double-entry bookkeeping. The opening section explains basic terms and the principles of double-entry accounting, with emphasis on understanding the nature of accounting and recording the effects of individual business transactions on the balance sheet and financial result. These foundations are followed by basic accounting for individual areas of business activity. The explanations are supplemented with numerous accounting diagrams, solved examples for easier understanding, and exercises for practising the material. Selected chapters contain QR codes linking to videos from the “Doing Business with Pavel and Veronika” series, including “VAT in a Nutshell”, “Accounting for Products” and “Costs and Revenues”.
