Letní hosté (2026)

Maggie and her friends from the Martini Club have spent years working for the secret services and living lives that were far too adventurous, so in their later years they want nothing more than the peace they have found in a sleepy seaside town. Yet the shadows of the past sometimes reach even places where the foxes say goodnight. The town’s monotonous life is disrupted, as it is every summer, by an influx of tourists, and the young police chief Jo suddenly has plenty of work. This year, however, she must deal with something much more serious than the usual noisy drunks, disturbances and petty thefts: a very young girl has disappeared from a house by the lake. Suspicion falls on one of the local residents, but Maggie is convinced of his innocence, so she and her former colleagues join the investigation and form a fragile alliance with Jo. The police chief must cope not only with the search and pressure from the missing girl’s wealthy family, but also with a group of sometimes excessively action-minded retirees. When clues emerge leading to an old unsolved murder and dark secrets hidden for years, the situation becomes even more complicated. The contents are in Czech.
