Putinova triáda (2026)

This Czech-language book examines the Russian Federation’s current strategic nuclear triad, one of the most destructive weapons systems in human history. Strategic nuclear triads are possessed by only a few great powers, and their use in armed conflict could result in the total devastation of the planet. The book analyzes the structure, numbers, and effectiveness of the triad’s individual components, while also outlining the historical development of its Soviet predecessor. Special attention goes to changes between 2010 and 2025. In April 2010, the United States and Russia signed the New START agreement in Prague, establishing stricter limits for both countries’ strategic triads. The ten-year agreement, extended by five years, expired at the beginning of February 2026. The expected conclusion of a further US-Russian agreement did not materialize, and under the current political circumstances, successful negotiations appear unlikely. The book presents the actual condition of the Russian Federation’s most powerful military instrument, an issue that should be generally known.
