Description
In this Czech-language autofictional and tender essay, Dorota Ambrožová describes a disturbing period marked by insomnia. Two small children run around the kitchen while a neighbour is constantly about to appear at the door to complain about the noise, and sleep becomes the only thought. The book explores motherhood, family traditions, expectations rooted in faith, and the position of a woman who became a mother immediately after leaving school. The text was originally written for a Radio Wave podcast and later developed into a book. The graphic design is by Nikola Janíčková, with illustrations by Jindřich Janíček.
