Poslední epocha – Mayne Andrew (2026)

Space researchers unexpectedly detect a signal apparently coming from the outer edge of the solar system. Bioinformatician Theo Cray becomes involved in investigating the remarkable phenomenon somewhat against his will, together with Jessica Blackwoodová, a former magician who is now an FBI agent. The central figure in the effort to solve the cosmic mystery is billionaire Thomas T. Theismann, who has devoted his entire life to searching for extraterrestrial intelligence in the hope of learning whether humanity is truly alone in the universe. Despite his considerable scepticism, Theo agrees to help find the source of the signal, while Jessica is tasked with investigating the suspicious death of a scientist in a hotel. As the two investigations unexpectedly converge, strange connections emerge around the messages from space, including the visions of a 1970s science-fiction author and the body of an astronaut discovered in an ancient tomb. The deeper Theo and Jessica delve into Theismann’s past, the more fascinated they become by the signal. What further dangers does their investigation conceal, and how far into uncharted territory are they willing to go? The book is in Czech.
