Description
Viola Reyes is furious. Her teammates refuse to play the game she carefully prepared, her best friend keeps telling her to try to be “nicer,” and her duties as vice president are made harder by Jack Orsino, the school’s best American-football player and the utterly useless student-council president. Vi escapes the world by playing The Twelfth Knight, but online spaces are not particularly welcoming to capable, confident girls. She therefore creates a male alter ego, a knight named Cesario. When Jack gets injured and also enters the world of The Twelfth Knight, Vi is unsettled to discover that their characters are surprisingly well matched. Recommended for ages 13 and up.
