Description
Vilém Drozd, a detective hired by Klára, the wife of the missing archivist, arrives in a remote town in the Ore Mountains. The very next morning, he faces an unpleasant surprise – his parked car, which he left in Prague, is found near the town, and in its trunk, he discovers the corpse of his ex-girlfriend, while their five-year-old daughter freezes on a bench. Moreover, his apartment in Prague has burned down. He has no choice but to stay with Klára and continue the investigation with his daughter. Meanwhile, dubious characters are flocking to the town, all wanting the same thing – to discover an underground passage allegedly leading to the tomb of Edward Kelley. Is it really the tomb of the long-dead alchemist, or is there something else behind it? And where has the missing archivist gone?
