Description
This Czech-language thriller follows Inspector Lottie Parker after young widow Éilis Lawlor disappears in the middle of the night while her two small children sleep. Éilis was left alone with them after her husband’s tragic death, and when Lottie finds her house keys and phone, she begins to fear for the mother’s safety. Her worst fears are confirmed when the missing woman is found dead, wrapped in yellow clothing and with her mouth taped shut. Determined to find the person responsible, Lottie learns that Éilis belonged to a support group for widows. Then Jennifer, another member, is found dead, also wrapped in yellow clothing. Investigating Jennifer’s past, Lottie discovers that she had led an isolated life since her husband’s death, spending months away from work and rarely leaving home except to attend the group’s meetings. The other women claim to know nothing, but Lottie is convinced that the remaining widows are hiding something disturbing.
