In 1953, an outstanding poet and a beloved illustrator first met in the artistic field. From their 'pen' came a poetic and illustrated fairy tale that has accompanied several generations of children. The charming and easily memorable verses were brought to life in images by Zdeněk Miler not once, but twice. In the year of its first publication, a 24-page book was released in 'Trnkov style', and in 1967, the painter reworked the material into a 12-page picture book with new illustrations.
