Description
One of Oldřich of Chlum’s personal enemies is Bruno of Schauenburg, the Bishop of Olomouc. The administrator of Bezděz is therefore extremely surprised when the bishop asks King Přemysl II Otakar to send Oldřich to investigate in Brno. Even more mysterious is the alleged reason for his journey: a theft at the local Minorite monastery. Oldřich of Chlum is also granted extensive powers by the Bishop of Olomouc, making it clear that the matter is exceptionally serious. This suspicion is soon confirmed. Immediately after his arrival in Brno, the cellarer of the Minorite monastery is brutally murdered. Oldřich and his assistants, the squire Ota and the commander Diviš, are also in danger when it becomes clear that something deeply disturbing is at stake.
