Description
In the summer of 2002, relatives, friends and complete strangers arrive in the flood-devastated Polabí region to help those affected. In the village of Stamice, Kamila meets her friend Ilona, whom she has not seen for almost fifteen years. Together they remember the past and the events that marked and completely changed their former lives, work, marriages and families. This is a story about how the nearest helping hand is always at the end of your own arm, while a strong support network is priceless. Princes on white horses may have died out long ago, but occasionally there is a man worth taking a risk for, even when the outcome is uncertain. Almost anything can be survived if you do not give in to self-pity and can still laugh amid the chaos into which every life sometimes descends.
