Description
Police chief Kate Burkholder investigates a brutal double murder. Her search for the killer leads her into the glittering world of clubs, behind which a dark underworld is concealed. When Kate discovers the dismembered body of Samuel Yutzy, a successful local businessman, she is shocked by the killer’s brutality. Soon after the investigation begins, a second body is found several kilometres away in a ravine, stuffed piece by piece into a barrel. The victim is identified as Aaron Shetler, Samuel’s best friend. What could these two young Amish men have done to deserve such a cruel end? The people around them remain silent, and just as Kate begins to fear that the case is hopeless, a young woman in hiding tells her that Samuel and Aaron recently became friends with some very dangerous individuals.
