Description
In the midst of the forests, the royal soldier Sigibert of Sichelbach discovers an abandoned little boy. The boy is frightened, disoriented, and does not speak. Sigibert therefore takes him to the market settlement below Landštejn, where the boy receives a warm welcome and all the necessary care. It is clear that a tragedy has occurred in the forest, but unfortunately, no other victims or the boy's parents can be found. The little foundling thrives, and life gradually returns to normal. The calm waters are suddenly disturbed by the unannounced arrival of the Moravian margrave, who has come to inspect the newly built royal castle. The margrave spends almost all his time hunting in the surrounding forests. However, none of those involved suspect that the margrave is to become the victim of a carefully planned assassination, designed to look like an accident during a hunt. The blame is to be placed squarely on Sigibert of Sichelbach...
