Description
The Slabaughs are a model family of Amish farmers, working hard, with four children and getting along wonderfully with their extended family. The idyll comes to an end when one of their children calls for help. Shortly thereafter, Police Chief Kate Burkholder discovers the boy's parents and uncle in a manure tank. All are dead. Initially, everything suggests it was a tragic accident, but during the autopsy, the coroner finds that one of the victims suffered a blow to the head before death. It is clear that this will be a case for the police. No one wishes to find the murderer more than Kate, who also grew up in an Amish family...
