Description
In the Kingdom of Bohemia, King John of Luxembourg reigns, but two rival noble factions are vying for influence in the land. The wealthiest Czech nobleman, Peter of Rosenberg, invites the most prominent nobles from both camps to his wedding with the queen widow of Wenceslas III in an attempt to resolve existing disputes. However, his efforts are fundamentally thwarted by the murder of one of the wedding guests, who belongs to the faction hostile to King John and his main supporter, Peter of Rosenberg. There is a danger that the current discord will escalate into a civil war. To prevent this, the powerful Rosenberg asks two of his guests, the knight Blahota of Lítožnice and the canon of the St. Vitus chapter, Christopher, to track down the perpetrator of the crime...
