Description
It is the year 1261. Přemysl II. Otakar supports his rival Richard of Cornwall in the struggle for the throne of the Roman king against Alfonso of Castile, and in return, he is promised a majesty granting him the Austrian and Styria fief. However, in diplomacy, nothing is as it seems at first glance. Oldřich of Chlum departs with several prominent nobles to Aachen, Germany, on a secret mission. Shortly after their arrival, the chamberlain and personal friend of Richard of Cornwall is murdered. Czech nobles are accused of the murder and subsequently imprisoned. Moreover, unrest breaks out in the city, instigated by students from the local cathedral school, wandering students known as goliards. The investigation is taken up by squire Ota, Diviš, and several clever girls from the city...
