Description
Germany in the 1920s – a country torn by inflation, disappointment from defeat, and radicalism. Nevertheless, Jaroslav and Anežka Lenz live peacefully in Berlin. At least until Jaroslav's friend from the war contacts him. The man has information about a conspiracy being prepared by the Soviets and people grouped around German General von Repplin. Jaroslav initially considers it a figment of imagination, but after his friend is murdered, he must change his mind. Besides investigating his friend's death, the Lenzes become interested in the general's suspicious activities. These were precisely what Jaroslav's friend was dealing with before his death, even contacting several German journalists for help. Asking too many questions, however, can be risky, and soon Anežka and Jaroslav will find that out...
