Description
This Czech-language historical mystery follows the squire Ota, who waits in Písek for the arrival of King Přemysl II Otakar, accompanied by Oldřich of Chlum. During a hot summer, Ota goes swimming in the Otava, where he meets a naked girl who introduces herself as the wife of the powerful Bavor of Strakonice. He soon discovers that she has lied to him, and his search for her draws him into the strange mystery of missing jewels. Meanwhile, someone murders the provincial judge, and further killings follow. When Oldřich of Chlum arrives in Písek with Commander Diviš, he and Ota begin an investigation. They soon discover that uncovering the truth could be extremely dangerous, as the trail leads to the most important figures at the royal court.
