Description
Fear has taken over the Old Town of Prague, and it is unwise to go out after dark. However, people are not sure of their lives even behind the ironclad doors of their homes. The chests of the guilds at the Old Town Hall have been looted, and the mayor Pardus is beginning to despair. He is unable to disperse the gang of Jouza Čert, and it seems that someone from the close circle of King Václav IV is helping the gang. To make matters worse, a ghost begins to appear on the houses and their roofs, which some consider to be a bat, while others see it as a giant spider. The armorer's apprentice Lukáš is experiencing a harrowing time in his uncle's house and has only two desires: to learn the craft and to be close to Angela, the daughter of the Milanese duke's envoy. However, whether he wants it or not, he is drawn into the events that terrify the city, and from that moment on, the hunt begins for him as well. Every stumble could be his last...
