Description
This Czech-language historical detective novel continues the stories of royal scribe Jiří Adam of Dobronín. Once again, his superior, the highest chamberlain, entrusts him with investigating mysterious cases that no one else can solve. In “Bitter Wine,” the royal scribe and his assistants must untangle a complicated web of family relationships in Prague that leads to a crime. The second story takes place in a women’s convent in Doksany. To make it possible to investigate the strange deaths of the nuns, Rozárka must apparently enter the order herself.
