Description
Shortly after Emperor Sigismund of Luxembourg finally ascends to the Czech throne, he dies. His beautiful and sensual wife, Barbara Celjska, intrigues behind his back and aims to seize power in Bohemia and Hungary. She is aided not only by her lover Michal Országh but primarily by the Hussite nobles Hynce Ptáček of Pirkštejn and Aleš Holický of Šternberk. Will the emperor appoint Albert of Habsburg as his successor, or will Barbara manage to thwart his plans and take power? In the wake of the execution of Jan Roháč of Dubé, resistance against Sigismund rises again in Bohemia. It seems the conspirators could not have chosen a better moment to execute their plans.
