Description
Widowed Amish Adam Lengacher, who took his children for a sleigh ride, encounters a car stuck in the snow along the way and finds an unconscious woman nearby. He calls the chief of the Painters Mill police department, Kate Burkholder. She promptly arrives at the scene and is shocked to recognize the unknown woman as Gina Coloroso, a police officer and classmate from her studies at the police academy. Gina reveals that she is wanted for the murder of a police officer. She claims she is innocent and that a conspiracy of corrupt police officers, which she wanted to expose, is behind her accusation. Kate asks her friend, agent John Tomasetti, for help, and together they embark on investigating the case. However, it soon becomes clear that no one wants to talk about the night Gina allegedly shot her colleague...
