Description
The murder of an Italian student who started attending the rhetorical school of Jindřich of Isernia is incomprehensible. He had no money or enemies and had only been in Prague for three weeks. At the same time, the urban planner Mikeš from Dobronín asks Oldřich from Chlum to try to find out at Zvíkov why his cousin's bride was denied her inheritance from her father. There are very few witnesses, and each dies a violent death before they can tell the truth. The threads lead to Mantua, where the squire Ota studied. However, he is more interested in an unknown beautiful girl.
