Boží mlýn s turbem 3 - Zabíjení (2026)

The dark clouds that have gathered over humanity for years finally break. Most of the world’s population succumbs to a deadly virus, and a civilization already writhing in agony is dealt another blow by an exceptionally powerful series of electromagnetic pulses. Most electronics are irreparably destroyed, while governments, police forces and armies all collapse. The world as it was known no longer exists. Twenty-two years after these events, a solitary man returns to life and discovers that he is no longer alone. He suddenly finds himself among friends. He has defeated death, but without them he would still be lost, even though something is happening to his body and it is healing with remarkable speed. Yet not everything is bathed in sunshine. A war smolders nearby, and winning it—or at least not losing it—will be extremely difficult. This is a harsh science-fiction novel set in the bleak twilight of humanity, where there are never enough knives and the dog is no longer man’s best friend: a reliable, well-oiled gun is. Since weapons are dangerous toys, the occasional drop of blood is spilled. You will not like this vision of the near future. And if you do, you are strange.
