The arrangement of society and the guarantee of rights for groups and individuals undergo development throughout history. Similarly, their perception and the ideological or political (and military) struggles for their change also evolve. The content of concepts develops not only according to which political, economic, and social group a person belongs to, but also according to the time in which they live. However, they do not come about by themselves, automatically; they are often the result of violent (rarely non-violent) struggles. The arrangement of society and the view of freedom and democracy (liberal and conservative) change, as do the methods of their enforcement and the geopolitical evaluation of individual states. People ask whether the creation of (often strict) boundaries can contribute to democratization, freedom, and the humanization of human actions. This book also explores the search for the meaning of existence, or the process of evolution, from various angles. The possibility, or necessity, of choice complicates human life, closing or opening (ir)reversibility of the perspective of further existence and its form.
